Ex-soldiers succeed in claim for racial harassment against the British Army

Judgment in the case of Mr N Zulu and Mr H Gue v Ministry of Defence (2019) has today been published.

The Claimants succeeded in establishing their claim against the MOD that they suffered racial harassment during their time in the Army and that the MOD did not take all reasonable steps to prevent such harassment. The Claimants were represented by Amy Harvey of Banks Kelly Solicitors and judgment was given following a 10 day trial in July. The Claimants intend to seek compensation and recommendations from the Tribunal that the MOD implement better Equality and Diversity training within the armed forces.
